Thanks for the new spoiler from the special effects site. I read the article and it's interesting. I had no idea the season 2 budget had been cut so much.

From the spoilers for Episode 207 - Death Mask:
"Servilia's incessant cries for justice drive Atia to distraction, and result in an unfortunate public denouement."
An unfortunate public denouement for whom? Please someone tell me the public denouement falls on Atia because so far, this has been such a one-sided rivalry and Atia deserves to be put in her place.

from EW Magazine re Rome Finale March 25, 2007: Series Finale: This is the part you think you know--all that stuff about Antony and Cleopatra doomed-love stuff, settled with sneaks and suicide. Only in this version Antony's been sadsacked by his epic battle with Octavian, and Cleo is no ordinary royal asp-hole.....but there is too much else to do, like get that canny sadist Octavian his crown and reunite Vorenus and Pullo with their kids....this is a breathless, shocking, and quite possibly heartbreaking end.
This has me worried for Vorenus & Pullo.
TV Guide Ausiello says: Let's just say the story doesn't follow the historical record exactly — particularly where Caesarion's fate is concerned. Producers also took some creative license (in a geographical sense) with Antony's and Cleopatra's twin suicides. And there's a double double-cross that I don't think anyone will see coming.
So maybe little Lucius dies in a tragic accident of some kind & his body is give to Octavian as proof of Caesarian's death. ?
NY Post says Atia "has a moment of triumph that is so satisfying"..
So I wonder if she's going to double cross Octavian some way. Like maybe, "You're not truly of the Julii family. I am not your biological mother. You are your father's child by a slave."
